These are just some of the great annual events that happen in Evansville. Take a look at the Evansville Events Calendar to keep updated on events happening daily around the tri-state!

Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights

“One of the Tri-State’s favorite winter traditions and most important fundraising events – Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights – brightens Evansville’s Garvin Park from Thanksgiving through New Years. Enjoy the annual drive-through winter light show several times with your family and friends! All net proceeds from Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights will fund therapy at the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be available nightly (weather permitting) on a first-come, first-served basis. The effort is a huge undertaking, as the show includes over 60 elaborate scenes, many featuring multiple animated displays up to 20 feet tall.”

West Side Nut Club Fall Festival

“Every October the Nut Club organizes and sponsors a mammoth Fall Festival. This is a week-long gala, held the first full week of October, on the west side along Franklin Street with free entertainment, carnival attractions, over 126 food booths, amateur talent competitions and on the last day, a huge parade. This event attracts over 200,000 people to the West Side & is considered to be one of the largest street festivals in the United States.”

Evansville Jazz and Wine Festival

“The Kenny Kent Lexus Jazz & Wine Festival is a production of the
Evansville Philharmonic Guild, Inc. (EPG), benefiting the Orchestra’s Youth and Outreach Programs. The annual September festival features the smooth sounds of jazz, delectable wines from the region’s top vintners, and delicious food from local restaurants. The one-day celebration showcases non-stop entertainment in the heart of Evansville’s Downtown district.”

Boo at the Zoo

“Annual event for family Halloween fun, held at Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden. Enjoy live entertainment, decor, a trick or treat trail, storytelling, animal encounters and more!”

Evansville Half Marathon

“Held every October, all proceeds from this event go back into the local community to help the YMCA impact the lives of children and families by providing after school care, character development and teen leadership opportunities and much more. The course starts and finishes along the riverfront in downtown Evansville. This beautiful, scenic course will wind through many of Evansville‚Äôs favorite areas. Highlights of the course are the Greenway, Garvin Park, Main Street, Bayard Park, historic neighborhoods, and a riverfront finish.”

Vanderburgh County Fair

“Come join us for one of the most fantastic events in Vanderburgh County during July. Bring the entire family out for a week of fun at the county fair. There are rides for the kids, a queen contest for mom, and a tractor pull for dad. Grab some tasty fair food such as a pork chop, a haystack, or ice cream. More importantly, come and support the youth of the community.”
